Chevon “T.I.” Shearer grew up in Kingsvale, Hanover, Jamaica - a small community about an hour east of Negril. As a young boy, he developed a love for soccer and played nearly every day – with no shoes!

His passion soon paid off and Chevon became a soccer star at a very young age, playing for the Premier League. He earned the nickname “Burton”, after an English Premier League player known for being a top goal scorer that helped Jamaica to reach its first World Cup.

After years on the path to success, Chevon took a break from soccer with the intention of spending one year making extra money to fund his trip to England to play professionally.

In 2006, the transformation began. Chevon was hired at Rockhouse Hotel where he truly thrived. From a reserved young boy to the resident celebrity “T.I.” - Chevon found his place in the hospitality industry.

As time went on, he evolved into a confident, sociable and perceptive award-winning employee. Chevon won awards for 8 straight years, only to be banned from the competition! His work-ethic and hospitable nature was unbeatable.

Not only did Chevon thrive at creating a memorable experience at Rockhouse, he took it a step further by constantly suggesting the best local spots, restaurants, and attractions for tourists to visit. Creating an unforgettable experience for guests is what he truly loved.

Chevon made the difficult decision to put his soccer career on hold permanently to pursue his talent for hospitality.

Today, Chevon remains a top sought after tour guide with hundreds of return visitors. He understands how to serve guests with personalized excellence by combining his local knowledge and unmatched attitude for top-notch service.

Creating an unforgettable experience for guests is what he truly loved.

In time, LivUp Jamaica Tours was elevated with two important additions. Chevon's brother 'Rambo', a Tour Agent, adds his bright and outgoing charisma with an authentic local touch to each guest experience.

She fell in love with Jamaica the first day she arrived in September 2016 and hasn't looked back since. Joelle brings an elevated approach to each guest experience by delivering the high-standards and safe, quality service Americans are used to back at home.

Together, they are grateful to have established a successful, fulfilling and rewarding business in creating memorable experiences for guests who visit the land they truly love.
